"I’m going to tell about my life. I thank God for being here, because I’ve changed a lot. Even if nobody can tell, I do. Thanks to everybody in Seeds of Hope, I feel safer. I used to be a really bitter girl and I smoked weed. Thanks to God, I stopped being like that, and now I’m a leader in the program and I feel really proud of myself. Maybe I’m a little stubborn, but I love everybody in Seeds. I thank God for all of you and for changing me."
"I was born with a disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa or Butterfly Kid, it makes you have blood blisters on your skin. It feels like being burned with fire or burning plastic melting on your skin. When I came to the Lord, He had mercy on me and healed me. I’m healed in the name of Jesus Christ and I have nothing now. God does miracles and I’m living proof."
"My life before being in Roots of Hope was very different. I used to have some friends in High School that I considered to be really good friends. For most people they were drug addicts, and because of them I was following the wrong path. I was even being very disrespectful to my parents. I met a friend who invited me to go to Roots, and I liked it a lot. My favorite thing about the program is the Advanced English classes. I am very strong now."
"My life was very normal. I would do the same thing every day, but it didn’t have any sense to it. I started to come to Roots and I became a leader. Thanks to them, I also started to go the church, mainly because it was a rule in order to be a leader. But I liked going to church, and I accepted Jesus in my life. Since then, every new day makes sense because He has a purpose for me. Thanks to Him I have changed a lot and am still changing. If God is with me who can be against me."
"I am 14 years old and I have been in Roots for almost a year. I really like it a lot. I’ve learned a lot and am taking 5 subjects now. I like all of them, but my favorite is English. I came to the program because of a friend who invited me. I decided to go and I find it really cool. I’ve changed a lot, even my attitude. I am trying to be better. I live really far from classes, but still make a huge effort to be on time to every one of the 9 weeks."
"I have more than a year of being in Roots and I really like it. My favorite class is English. Before being here, I was a very lazy person. I’m now making an effort to do better in High School, and to study more. I came because a friend invited me and since then I like it a lot. Thanks for all what you do, I’ve change a lot because of the program, now I’m a different person."
" I’m 12 years old. I had an accident last year where a car crushed me into another car 3 times, and trapped my legs. The people around start praying for me and the other kid that was with me. The doctors said my leg probably needed to be cut off, but God saved me and protected me the whole time."
